1 What it covers

Security Awareness Training (STCW VI/6) evidences awareness of ship-security threats, their recognition and reporting procedures. It is needed by seafarers without designated security duties on ships subject to the ISPS Code. Validity: as shown on the issued document.1–3

The standard of competence is set by table A-VI/6-1 of the Code.1,2
