1. About these Terms
Rynda Crewing is a maritime careers platform operated by RYNDA GLOBAL FZCO, registration number DMCC203729, with its registered address at Unit RET-R5-172, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In these Terms, “Rynda Crewing”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to RYNDA GLOBAL FZCO. “You” means the individual using the platform in their own capacity or the organisation represented by an authorised account user.
These Terms govern the website, its accounts, CVs, recruitment tools and subscriptions. By accepting them when registering, you enter into an agreement with us. If you act for an organisation, you must have authority to accept them on its behalf and manage its account. You must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
The Employer and Recruitment Agency Rules form part of these Terms. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain the handling of personal information and cookies. Accepting these Terms does not replace any separate consent required for those purposes.
2. What the platform provides
Rynda Crewing enables seafarers to create a professional CV, find vacancies, send applications and communicate about employment opportunities. Employers and recruitment agencies can publish vacancies, search for crew, review CVs and applications, and communicate with candidates. Available plans may provide additional search, promotion and matching tools.
We provide digital tools. Publishing vacancies or facilitating applications does not make us the employer, shipowner or recruitment agency for a vacancy. We do not decide whom to hire, negotiate employment terms on users' behalf or enter into their employment agreements. Employers and agencies remain responsible for their recruitment activities.
In addition to vacancies published by employers, the platform shows vacancies collected automatically from public sources, such as websites and channels where employers and agencies published them. We do not write these advertisements, do not verify their content and are not responsible for the conduct of those who published them. You can report an inaccurate vacancy to support.
A CV, application, recommendation or message does not create an employment relationship. An employment agreement must be concluded with the relevant employer. Our role does not remove obligations that applicable law places on us.
3. Registration and account security
Provide accurate registration and contact information. Use your own identity or that of the organisation you are authorised to represent. Do not impersonate others, misrepresent an organisation or allow unauthorised account access.
You must be at least 16 years old to register. If you are under 18, you may purchase a paid subscription only with the consent of your parents or other legal representatives.
Protect your credentials and take care on shared devices. Notify support promptly of suspected unauthorised access. We may temporarily restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect an account or investigate misuse.
You are responsible for activity you authorise and for your own failure to take reasonable security measures. You are not automatically responsible for every unauthorised action through your account. Organisations must ensure that account users remain authorised and follow these Terms.
4. Seafarer CVs and applications
Your CV must accurately describe your qualifications, certificates, rank, sea service, experience and availability. Keep information relevant and up to date. Do not submit false credentials or experience.
Verified employers and agencies can find your CV through crew search without a prior application. Your contact details become available to an employer after a mutual response or when the employer unlocks contacts within its plan. If you mark your CV as not looking for work, it remains visible with that status, but employers cannot invite you, and your contact details are available only to employers you applied to yourself, whose invitation you answered or with whom you served as crew. A de-identified card based on your CV is published in the public seafarer directory only with your separate consent, which you can withdraw in your account. Our Privacy Policy explains this use. Apply in good faith, read the vacancy and check the recruiter's identity and role. You remain free to decline an opportunity or end discussions.
Your application information and message are made available to the employer or agency handling that vacancy. Send relevant information only. Do not upload another person's confidential information without a lawful basis and appropriate authority.
The recipient is responsible for its subsequent use of the information under applicable law and our Employer and Recruitment Agency Rules. Removing information from your account does not automatically remove a copy already received by a recipient. You may contact that recipient about its copy and us about information held on the platform.
5. Plans, subscriptions and payment
Creating a seafarer CV and using standard vacancy search are free. The free plan includes up to 30 seafarer-initiated applications in each monthly period. The period runs from the day of your registration or, if you have had a subscription, from the day it started; day boundaries are determined in UTC+3. Receiving employer invitations and replying to them remain unlimited and free. A repeat application to the same vacancy after the platform itself closed your earlier application does not count towards this number either. PRO includes unlimited seafarer-initiated applications. Employers and agencies may purchase the tools and allowances described in their selected plan.
For each invited user who meets the referral programme conditions, a seafarer may receive a free PRO period. The amount and limits of the reward are shown in the invitations section of the account.
Before payment, the plan and order identify the available features, limits, price, currency, applicable taxes, subscription period and start date. These details form part of your agreement with us. We provide the features described as available in your selected plan for the agreed period.
Where CV promotion is included, matching CVs appear at the top of crew search results, above CVs without promotion, for the agreed period. The employer's search criteria still apply. Order among promoted CVs depends on the selected sorting and relevant CV information, including completeness and recency. Promotion does not guarantee a fixed position or display on every results page, certify qualifications or represent our endorsement. Advanced filters provide the additional search criteria described in the plan; matching vacancies may not always be available.
A recurring subscription renews for the period and price agreed at checkout. By authorising recurring payment, you permit us to charge your selected saved payment method. Renewal charges may be processed during the 24 hours before the current period ends; the next period follows it without shortening your access. This timing is disclosed before payment authorisation. Failed charges may be retried for up to three days after the period ends, while renewal remains enabled and payment authorisation has not been withdrawn.
You can disable automatic renewal or withdraw permission to use the saved payment method through the available account controls or by contacting support. To prevent the next renewal charge, do so before its processing window begins. We stop future charges covered by the withdrawn authorisation once we receive it. Disabling renewal or withdrawing payment permission does not remove access for an already paid period, and does not by itself reverse a payment already processed.
You may separately request early termination or a refund by contacting support. We will apply your mandatory rights and the terms disclosed for your purchase, taking account of the service actually provided. Activation does not mean that an entire subscription period has been delivered. If paid features are materially unavailable or are not provided as agreed, we will address the problem and provide the remedy required by applicable law, which may include a refund for the affected service.
Changes to prices or included features apply only to future subscription periods. We notify you in advance, obtain further agreement where required by law and allow you to disable renewal before a changed charge. A failed renewal may end paid access; the free functions remain available.
6. Search and automated matching
Available matching tools compare CV information, preferences or search criteria with vacancy information to suggest relevant vacancies or candidates. These tools may use automated processing, including AI. Results depend on the information available and may be incomplete or inaccurate. A match or position in a results list is not verification of qualifications, a promise of suitability or a hiring decision.
Seafarers decide which vacancies to pursue. Employers and agencies must assess candidates and remain responsible for their recruitment decisions. Our Privacy Policy explains the information used for matching and the rights available concerning automated processing. You can report inaccurate information or a concern about a recommendation to support.
7. Employer and agency responsibilities
Employers and agencies must identify their organisation and whether they recruit directly or as an intermediary. They must have authority to advertise and conduct the recruitment activity, including authorisations required by law.
Vacancies must be genuine, current and accurate. Advertisers are responsible for their content, employment terms, lawful selection criteria and applicant communications. They must communicate material changes and remove or update unavailable vacancies.
Employers and agencies are responsible for evaluating candidates, verifying qualifications where required and making hiring decisions. They must not use the platform to obtain unlawful payments, collect CVs for unrelated purposes or conceal the identity of the party responsible for recruitment. Further requirements appear in the Employer and Recruitment Agency Rules.
8. Acceptable use and communications
Use the platform professionally and only for lawful purposes connected with maritime careers and recruitment. Messages should relate to a vacancy, application or genuine recruitment discussion. Respect another user's decision to end contact.
You must not:
- publish fictitious vacancies, forged credentials, fraudulent offers or deliberately misleading information;
- demand or facilitate unlawful recruitment payments, deposits or deductions from seafarers;
- send spam, unrelated promotions, threats, harassment or unlawful discriminatory content;
- sell CVs, harvest contact information or disclose application information without a lawful basis;
- copy information in bulk or use automated collection methods without our written permission;
- access another account without authority, bypass access restrictions or interfere with the platform's operation;
- upload malicious files or content that infringes another person's privacy, confidentiality or intellectual property rights;
- evade a restriction by using another account or assist others in breaching these Terms.
Report suspicious vacancies or messages to support with enough information to identify them.
9. Content and intellectual property
You retain ownership of the content you provide, subject to any rights belonging to others. You are responsible for having the permissions needed to upload and use that content.
You give us a non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, process and display your content only to operate the platform and provide the functions you use. This includes vacancy and CV display, matching and application delivery. The licence does not permit us to sell CVs or use private messages as promotional material. Personal information remains subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
The licence lasts while you make content available through the platform. After removal or account closure, we may retain copies only as needed to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or complete an action already requested. This does not authorise continued public display of removed content. The Privacy Policy governs personal data retention.
Our branding, design, software and original materials belong to us or our licensors. Use them only as needed to access the service or otherwise lawfully permitted. Do not imply our endorsement or commercially reproduce or exploit our materials without permission or lawful entitlement.
10. Moderation and restrictions
We may review reported or suspected misuse, request information relevant to a vacancy or account, and take proportionate action to enforce these Terms. Action may include asking for a correction, declining or removing content, restricting a feature, suspending access or closing an account.
We consider the nature and seriousness of the issue, the available information and whether there has been repeated misuse. Immediate action may be necessary for suspected fraud, unlawful content, compromised accounts, serious threats or a binding legal requirement. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the reason and allow an opportunity to correct the issue.
You may ask support to review a moderation decision. We do not promise to inspect every vacancy, CV or message before publication. Continued availability is not an endorsement or guarantee of accuracy. Restricting paid access does not remove any refund or other remedy required by law.
11. Availability and employment outcomes
We use reasonable care and skill in providing the platform. Maintenance, service changes and events outside our reasonable control may interrupt access. We cannot promise uninterrupted availability or that the website will always be free from errors. We take reasonable steps to address problems that affect the service.
We do not guarantee a response to an application, an interview, employment, a particular salary or the suitability of a candidate. Availability of a vacancy may change during recruitment. Users are responsible for the employment decisions they make and agreements they enter into.
External service operators are responsible for their services. These Terms do not govern separate employment agreements or replace their parties' legal duties.
12. Responsibility and liability
Each party remains responsible for its own breach of these Terms and obligations under applicable law. We are not responsible for a user's inaccurate vacancy, hiring decision or misconduct merely because the parties met through Rynda Crewing. This does not exclude responsibility for our own acts or omissions where the law imposes it.
To the extent permitted by law, our contractual liability is limited to direct loss that was reasonably foreseeable when the agreement was made and is caused by our breach. We are not contractually responsible for speculative earnings from a job that was not obtained or business opportunities that were not secured through the platform.
These limitations do not apply to fraud, deliberate misconduct, gross negligence, liability in tort for a harmful act or any other responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these Terms restricts mandatory consumer rights or legal remedies available to you.
13. Closing an account
You may stop using the platform and delete your account in the security settings of your account or through support. Once you request deletion, your CV is removed from crew search, your vacancies are unpublished and sign-in is closed. Within 30 days you can restore the account simply by signing in; after that, your data is erased as described in the Privacy Policy. Messages remain available to the other participants, with the author shown as "Deleted user". We may close an account for serious or repeated breaches, unlawful use or another lawful reason, following the moderation process where relevant.
When you request deletion, automatic renewal of your subscription is switched off immediately and no further charges are made. Refunds are made in the cases and in the manner provided by applicable law. If we discontinue the service, we give reasonable notice where practicable and address any unprovided paid period. Closure does not cancel employment arrangements. The Privacy Policy governs your information.
Terms concerning intellectual property, lawful retention, earlier conduct and disputes survive closure where needed. Accrued rights remain enforceable.
14. Changes and notices
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the platform, applicable law or how the service is operated. We will publish the revised text and effective date. For material changes affecting your rights or obligations, we will provide reasonable advance notice through the website or the contact details associated with your account, unless an urgent legal or security reason requires earlier action.
Where your agreement is legally required, we will seek it. Changes do not retrospectively alter accrued rights or completed transactions. If you do not accept revised Terms, you may stop using the platform and close your account. Continued use after a clearly notified effective date will constitute acceptance only where permitted by applicable law.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Dubai, without limiting any mandatory right you may have to bring proceedings elsewhere or rely on protections under applicable law.
Please contact us first if you would like us to help resolve a concern. Contacting us is not a condition for exercising a legal right. If a provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
