1. What this page covers

Maritime recruitment involves organisations and service providers in different countries. This page lists who may receive your personal data outside the United Arab Emirates and outside the country where you are, why, and what information is involved. It supplements section 6 of our Privacy Policy, which sets out the grounds and safeguards for such transfers.

2. Who is responsible

RYNDA GLOBAL FZCO, registration number DMCC203729, Unit RET-R5-172, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Contact about personal data: info@rynda.io.

3. Recipients and purposes

  • CV recognition: Anthropic (Claude service). Purpose: to fill in your CV fields from a file you uploaded yourself. The text extracted from the uploaded CV or document images is sent; it may contain your name, date of birth, contact details and information about your documents, education and sea service. This happens only when you upload a file; you can fill in your CV manually instead.
  • Web analytics: Google (Google Analytics service). Purpose: to understand how pages and features are used. Information from analytics cookies is sent: IP address, browser and device information, pages visited and actions on the website. This happens only if you allow analytics cookies; you can change your choice through the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of the page. See our Cookie Policy.
  • Sign-in: Google (sign-in with your Google account, if you choose it). Purpose: to let you sign in without a separate password. Google receives the sign-in request from Rynda Crewing and the information needed to complete it, such as your IP address and browser information; in return, Rynda Crewing receives the name and email address of your Google account. This happens only if you choose to sign in with Google; you can sign in with your email address instead.
  • Platform infrastructure. Purpose: to operate the website and make it load quickly for users in different regions. Part of the processing, including serving pages and storing copies of uploaded files (photos and document images), takes place on servers in other countries. Only the information needed to serve the requested pages and files is involved.
  • Internal notifications: Telegram messenger. Purpose: to verify a new employer or agency. When an organisation registers, platform administrators receive a notification with the representative's name and contact details and the organisation's details. Seafarer information is not included in these notifications.
  • Employers and crewing agencies in other countries. Purpose: recruitment. Your CV, documents and, under the rules in our Terms of Use, your contact details become available to an organisation in another country when you apply to it or when it finds your CV in crew search. That organisation then handles the information as a separate controller.

4. Safeguards

We transfer personal data internationally only where the applicable legal requirements are met. Depending on the destination and circumstances, this relies on a recognised level of protection in the destination country, appropriate contractual safeguards or another permitted ground, such as your consent or the performance of our agreement with you. Recipients receive only the information needed for the relevant purpose.

5. Your choices

You can avoid three of these transfers without contacting us: fill in your CV manually instead of uploading a file, decline analytics cookies in the "Cookie settings", and sign in with your email address instead of Google. For questions about transfers of your information, the recipients involved and the safeguards applied, write to info@rynda.io. Your other rights are described in the Privacy Policy.
