Consent to Marketing Emails

Version dated 7 October 2026Provided by RYNDA GLOBAL FZCO

Contents9

1. What this consent covers

This page describes your consent to receive marketing emails from Rynda Crewing and to our use of your personal data for that purpose. It is a separate consent: accepting the Terms of Use or reading the Privacy Policy does not give it.

The consent is optional. You can register and use every feature of the platform without it. Declining marketing emails does not affect your CV, applications, vacancies, subscription or messages.

2. Who is responsible

RYNDA GLOBAL FZCO, registration number DMCC203729, Unit RET-R5-172, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Contact about personal data: info@rynda.io.

3. How you give consent

You give consent by ticking "I agree to receive marketing emails from Rynda Crewing" when you register, or in your account after signing in: with the "Marketing emails" switch in the notification settings or in the "Needs attention" block. The box and the switch are not turned on in advance. The "Resubscribe" button on the unsubscribe page only removes the unsubscribe and does not give consent to marketing. If it was ticked by the "Accept all" switch, it stays visible as a separate line and you can untick it before you continue.

We record when and how consent was given or withdrawn and which version of this text it relates to. Silence, inactivity or registration alone are never treated as consent to marketing.

4. Which emails are marketing

With your consent we may send you:

  • news about new features of the platform;
  • offers of paid plans and subscriptions, promotions and free trials;
  • invitations to come back to the platform if you have not used it for a while.

Without this consent we send only emails that are not marketing: confirmation and sign-in codes, security notices, emails about your applications, invitations and messages, payment, renewal and subscription emails, notices of changes to our legal documents, and emails about using your own CV or vacancies, such as the weekly digest of vacancies for your rank, reminders to complete your CV or about document expiry dates, and application summaries for employers. Service emails may contain a link to manage your subscription. You can adjust service notifications in your account or write to support.

5. Information we use

  • your email address;
  • your name and language, to address you and choose the language of the email;
  • your role on the platform (seafarer, employer or agency), rank and plan, so that offers are relevant to you;
  • the date you registered, the date you last signed in and how complete your CV is, so that we do not invite people who already use the platform to come back;
  • delivery, opening and link-click information for our emails, and records of unsubscribing.

We use an email delivery provider to send these emails on our behalf.

6. Legal basis

Where the EU GDPR or the UK GDPR applies, the legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Sending marketing emails with your consent also meets the requirements of Article 13 of Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy Directive) and regulation 22 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 in the United Kingdom. Under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data of the United Arab Emirates, we process this information on the basis of your consent.

7. Channel

Marketing messages are sent only by email to the address of your account. We do not make marketing calls or send marketing text messages or messenger messages under this consent.

8. Duration and withdrawal

Your consent remains valid until you withdraw it or delete your account.

You can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it:

  • with the "Marketing emails" switch in the notification settings of your account;
  • with the "Unsubscribe" link in any marketing email; one click is enough, no confirmation is needed;
  • by email to info@rynda.io from your account address.

Unsubscribing from all emails with the link in any email, unsubscribing through your email provider and reporting our email as spam also withdraw your consent.

Once you withdraw, we stop sending marketing emails and stop using your information for this purpose. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of emails sent before it (Article 7(3) GDPR). We keep your email address on a suppression list so that we do not email you marketing again. You also have the right to object to direct marketing at any time (Article 21(2) and (3) GDPR).
