1 What it covers
Passenger Ship Crowd Management Training (STCW V/2.7) evidences training to assist, muster and direct passengers in an emergency. It is needed by personnel designated on the muster list to assist passengers. Validity: as issued; competence shown every 5 years.1–3
2 What it consists of
The standard of competence is set by table A-V/2-1 of the Code.1,2
3 Validity and renewal
Document validity. The expiry date, if the issuing system sets one, is shown on the document itself. This reference does not calculate personal expiry dates.
Maintaining competence. At intervals not exceeding 5 years the seafarer completes refresher training or provides evidence of having maintained the required standard of competence.3
