1 What it covers

Evidences training in managing human behaviour and crew response during a crisis.1,2

Who needs it. Senior officers and personnel responsible for passenger safety in an emergency.1,2

2 What it consists of

The standard of competence is set by table A-V/2-2 of the Code.1,2

3 Validity and renewal

Document validity. The expiry date, if the issuing system sets one, is shown on the document itself. This reference does not calculate personal expiry dates.

Maintaining competence. At intervals not exceeding 5 years the seafarer completes refresher training or provides evidence of having maintained the required standard of competence.3
