1 What it covers

Evidences advanced training in fuels and fuel systems aboard ships subject to the IGF Code.1,2

Who needs it. Masters, engineer officers and other personnel with immediate responsibility for fuels and fuel systems.1,2

2 What it consists of

The standard of competence is set by table A-V/3-2 of the Code.1,2

3 Validity and renewal

Document validity. The expiry date, if the issuing system sets one, is shown on the document itself. This reference does not calculate personal expiry dates.

Maintaining competence. Every 5 years the seafarer shows maintained competence, through refresher training or relevant service within the previous 5 years.3
