1 What it covers

Certificate of Proficiency – Able Seafarer Deck (STCW II/5) certifies competence in the named capacity within the limitations stated on the certificate. It is needed by deck ratings performing duties at the Able Seafarer Deck level under II/5. Validity: as shown on the issued document.1–3

The standard of competence is set by table A-II/5 of the Code.1,2
