Certificate of Proficiency – Rating Forming Part of an Engineering Watch (STCW III/4) certifies competence in the named capacity within the limitations stated on the certificate. It is needed by ratings forming part of an engineering watch or designated for duties in a periodically unmanned engine room, on ships with propulsion machinery of 750 kW or more. Validity: as shown on the issued document.1–3
