1 What it covers

Evidences training in safe passenger embarkation, cargo operations, cargo securing and closing hull openings on ro-ro passenger ships.1,2

Who needs it. Personnel with immediate responsibility for these operations and hull integrity.1,2

2 Validity and renewal

Document validity. The expiry date, if the issuing system sets one, is shown on the document itself. This reference does not calculate personal expiry dates.

Maintaining competence. At intervals not exceeding 5 years the seafarer completes refresher training or provides evidence of having maintained the required standard of competence.3
