Certifies competence in the named capacity within the limitations stated on the certificate.1–3
Who needs it. Second engineer officers on fishing vessels with propulsion machinery of 3,000 kW or more.1–3

Maintaining competence. Fishing vessel officers show continued competence at intervals not exceeding 5 years to keep serving at sea.4,5
